Looking towards Oxford, 24th March, 1962
Opened in 1853, the station served the village of Blockley (nowadays best known as the location of "Kembleford" in the TV series "Father Brown"), which was over a mile south of the station.  The station handled both passenger and freight, and there were sidings to a brickworks to the west of the station which lasted until 1953.  The station closed in 1966, and is unlikely to ever re-open.
