The Evesham Vale Light Railway
Evesham Vale Light Railway's "Dougal" heads for Country Park Halt on the 24th July, 2011
The Evesham Vale Light Railway was originally built by Jim and Helen Shackleton on what is now "The Valley at Evesham Country Park" and was opened in August 2002.  Built to 15-inch gauge, the line is currently just over a mile in length and is open weekends, bank holidays and during school holidays as well.  There are two stations on the line: Twyford and Country Park Halt.  As of 2012, the line is operated by a team of volunteers led by Adrian and Sandra Corke.

The author often visits the line to photograph it, in fact it often acts as a testing ground for any new photographic equipment.
